Panama SANBLAS Band

SANBLAS Gathering by 7 Panama musicians which established in Jan.2007 are going to perform in Taiwan.

Leader of the band. The guitarist, Marco Linares, was born in Panama. He is the popular SALSA singer in the world and won 4 Grammy Awards.And he is also the guiratist of Ruben Blades’ band who is a famous actor in Panama. In addition, he is a very popular guitarist and music producer.

The female singer Luz Angela Jimenez started singing at the age of 10. Also, she is the famous player of small guitarist. Other than singing, she is vey good at composing and producing music especially in many traditional Panama music.

The accordionist The accordion in Panamanian’s tradition music,which approximately sixty or seventy percent will certainly treat as one important element, SAN BLAS accordionist Ormelis Cortes as different common performer using hearing to study, but to be the first performer who will enter the Panamanian University to study the legitimate music. Therefore the performance method,in the state will be systematic and in orderly ways. His accordion performance is recommended for Panama's orchestra representative, not only in domestic, in Miami, Mexico, but also popular in Central South America.

Costa Rica EDITUS(The band) With more than 17 years experience in the music field. EDITUS fuses the modern music, traditional Jazz, new century music, the classical music, the Latino music, and skillful effect on academic studies, bring the music to the artistic field. Each member has composed EDITUS by its unique creativity style. EDITUS has published 10 albums, and the travelling

shows in more than 30 countries, such as North America, Europe and Latin America. The place of performance includes: American New York Carnegie music hall, Washington Kennedy Center Paris Olympia music hall, Swiss Jazz music festival, Mexican Montreal auspicious jazz music festival, Mexican country music hall and, places such as Carrow square. In American performance period, this group also provide performance and teaching in the Boston Berkeley University and Massachusetts university.
